Welcome to E-migrantes. By using this site you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. Definitions
- Platform — the site e-migrantes.com and any associated services.
- User — any person accessing the Platform.
- Verified owner — a registered user whose claim of ownership of a listing has been approved.
- Listing — a page dedicated to a physical business or service provider.
- User content — text, photos, reviews, offerings, coupons and any other material you upload to the Platform.
2. Account
- You must be at least 16 to create an account. To claim a listing, you must have legal capacity to represent the business.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, spread spam, commit fraud or harm other users.
3. Acceptable use
It is forbidden to:
- Post false, misleading, defamatory or illegal content.
- Claim businesses that are not yours or that you are not authorised to represent.
- Attempt to bypass technical limits (rate limits, AI quotas, anti-bot systems).
- Collect other users' data via scraping or automated means without authorisation.
- Post content that infringes third-party copyright, trademarks or privacy.
- Use the platform to promote illegal activities, financial schemes, sexually explicit content or violence.
4. User content
You keep ownership of the content you upload. By publishing it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, index, resize and use it within the Platform (including previews for search engines and shares).
You warrant that you hold the rights to all content you publish and that it does not infringe third-party rights. We may remove or refuse content without prior notice.
5. Reviews
Reviews must be based on direct, honest experience. They can be edited by their author at any time and answered by the listing owner. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms (insults, fabrications, conflicts of interest).
6. Listings created from public sources
To serve the community, the directory includes listings created from publicly available business information (name, address, contacts, opening hours, photos — via Google Places). These profiles are marked as unverified until claimed by their owner.
- If you own a listed business, you can claim the profile free of charge to manage and correct it, or request removal at geral@e-migrantes.com — we remove it, no questions asked.
- Imported information may be outdated or contain errors from the original source. We do not guarantee its accuracy; always confirm details (opening hours, contacts, prices) directly with the business.
- If you spot an error in a listing, we appreciate a report to the same email.
7. Advertising and sponsorship
Verified owners can purchase featured placement (sponsored) or ad banners. Requests are reviewed manually — we reserve the right to refuse. Prices, durations and formats are shown on the advertising page.
The platform may display advertising from external networks (e.g. Google AdSense), labelled as such. We are not responsible for third-party content or for those networks' privacy practices.
8. Payments and refunds
Advertising payments are processed by card or MB Way through external providers (Stripe, etc.). Approved requests are invoiced immediately; rejected requests are not charged. Refunds are only possible before the placement is activated.
9. AI image generation
The "Enhance photo with AI" feature uses third-party models (currently OpenAI gpt-image-1). Each user has a daily limit per product (see your account). The result is a computational variation of your original photo — you keep the rights to the photo you submit; we claim no rights over the generated variations. AI tools can produce imperfect results; always review before publishing.
10. Limitation of liability
E-migrantes is an aggregator directory. We are not responsible for: the quality of listed products or services, transactions between users and businesses, the accuracy of business information sourced from public sources (see section 6), indirect losses or lost profits, or service interruptions due to force majeure.
The news section is produced with the support of artificial intelligence from public sources, following our editorial policy, and is purely informational — it does not constitute legal, financial or immigration advice. Always confirm details with the original source or official channels.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to the Platform in the 12 months preceding the event.
11. Suspension and account termination
You can close your account at any time via /conta. We may suspend, ban or delete accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in serious cases (fraud, abuse, illegal content).
12. Governing law and forum
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, with express waiver of any other forum.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, legal obligations or new features. When we do, we update the date above. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the new version.
